Commitment to Undergraduate Research Training

Our lab is strongly committed to student training and has played an active role in providing undergraduate research experiences. Since the group's founding, over 60 undergraduate students have conducted research in the lab.

  1. Undergraduate involvement in high-impact research: nearly half of the authors on these high-impact papers are undergraduate students: Nature Sustanability and Nature Nanotechnology.
  2. Loren Cerami is one of the Nation's Churchill Scholarship recipients
  3. Matt Pysher is a finalist for the American Physical Society's LeRoy Apker Award (2004). The LeRoy Apker Award is the nation's most prestigious award for undergraduate physicists. Each year, only two Apker Awards are presented by APS to recognize "outstanding achievement in physics" by an undergraduate student.
