Summer 2023 Internship

  • I served as an Automation Intern at Pfizer's Global Supply Development Summer Program in Kalamazoo, MI and provided support to both the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Drug Product (DP) teams. My main project involved migrating critical stored software, technical documents, and metadata from an obsolete application to a modern version control system.

  • I developed a streamlined process for data migration, ensuring a seamless transition by designing a meticulous script for checking in components. I employed command-line manipulation and Python programming, applied my knowledge of version control processes, and utilized troubleshooting techniques to resolve migration issues. In addition to my technical responsibilities, I coordinated with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and system users, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills throughout the project.

  • During my internship, I gained hands-on experience in command-line manipulation and Python programming. This opportunity allowed me to enhance my understanding of version control systems and processes, and improve my troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. I also developed skills in managing complex projects from start to finish and strengthened my leadership and coordination abilities by working with a diverse team of experts. Moreover, my communication and interpersonal skills significantly improved as I effectively interacted with subject matter experts and system users.

  • I approached complex challenges head-on, which significantly improved the effectiveness of the migration process for my team. This experience enhanced my technical and soft skills, preparing me for future roles in the biomedical engineering field.
