The Materials Research Society is a growing network of industry and academia professionals from more than 90 countries working toward the society’s mission “to advance materials… and to improve the quality of life.” Members span multiple fields, including chemistry, biology, physics, and engineering, furthering the society’s goal to “embrace, cultivate and capitalize on that diversity, and use it as a resource for a dynamic and vibrant future.”

Local Chapter

The Materials Research Society at the University of Rochester sponsors research presentations, idea-sharing discussions, and lectures from experts focusing on various subjects. Both undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to share their ideas and research progress in the belief that we all contribute to the development of science and help each other make this world a better place.
