Master's Early Admissions Pathway

Our Master's Early Admissions Pathway (MS-EAP) offers students who are in their junior year of an undergraduate program within the Hajim School guaranteed admission into select master’s programs with a 50% tuition discount (for a Hajim MS) or 30% tuition discount (for a Simon MS). The admission guarantee is contingent on the student receiving an overall GPA of 3.5 or greater upon completion of their undergraduate program.

MS-EAP Benefits

  • Guaranteed admission as a junior into select programs within the Hajim School of Engineering or the Simon Business School, on the condition of receiving a 3.5 GPA
  • Exemption from entrance exams such as GRE or English language proficiency
  • 50% tuition scholarship for a Hajim MS program
  • 30% tuition scholarship for a Simon MS program

Students with a major not listed in the above chart (i.e., audio arts and technology, engineering science, geomechanics, Interdepartmental engineering) will be individually reviewed by the intended graduate degree program admissions committee for appropriate preparedness.

Prerequisite Coursework

Successful completion of select coursework is required for some students based on their current major and anticipated master’s program.

Use the following key with the table to determine prerequisite coursework:

  • X1 – Students must take or have AP credit for BIOL 110 and either CHEM 131 or 137
  • X2 – Students with a BA in CSC must take MATH 161, 162 and 165 (or 141, 142, 143, and 165)
  • X4 – Students must take CSC 172
  • X5 – Students must take one-semester of computer programming such as CSC 161, CSC 171, ECE 114, or equivalent. Students who have not taken DSCC 162 or an equivalent will be required to take it as a bridging course during the summer term prior to enrollment in the master’s
  • X6 – Students must take CHEM 252 and all required prerequisites
  • X7 – Students must take an undergraduate level course in fluids mechanics or dynamics and in mechanics of solids or strength of materials
