BME 101 Poster Session 2024
The annual BME 101 Poster Session was held on Friday, December 6, 2024. This event gives undergraduate students in Professor Edward Brown's course, BME 101: Introduction to Biomedical Engineering, a unique opportunity to collaborate and dive deeper into topics that spark their interest within the field of biomedical engineering.
Each team crafted and presented a poster detailing their chosen topic, complete with technical analysis, culminating in a semester-long effort. Their work was showcased to the BME faculty and student body, celebrating both innovation and academic achievement.
The event highlighted the diverse and interdisciplinary nature of biomedical engineering, with projects spanning areas such as biomechanics, cell and tissue engineering, biosignals, biosystems, bioinstrumentation, medical imaging, medical optics, and bioethics. This hands-on experience serves as an excellent foundation for students to explore and contribute to the dynamic field of biomedical engineering.
Prizes were given to the top 5 posters
Five teams are selected by a panel of BME 101 alumni as “Excellent Poster Prize” winners and are awarded their prizes at the end of the event.
The 2024 prizewinners were:
- Abigal Skordos and Maxwell Therrien
