Presenters:
Mark Carella has 15 years of experience in the Electric Utility Industry focusing on electric distribution design, substation controls and integrations, distribution automation, wireless communication and integrations of distribution assets with SCADA. For the last 5 years has been leading the Distribution Control and Integrations Engineering team where they focus on delivering Grid Modernizations initiatives (VVO/CVR, FLISR, Sensors) across National Grid service territory. He received in Bachelors in Electrical Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology 2007, Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute 2011, Masters in Business Administration from Lemoyne University in 2019 and is a licensed Electrical Engineer in the state of New York.
Keon Garrett graduated from Hamilton College in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and the University of Rochester in 2020 with a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Keon has been a Substation Engineer/Technical Lead Engineer for the last 2 years at National Grid. He has been involved in the company’s ongoing DEI Pre-college and College+ initiatives and looks to bring more diverse talent to National Grid.
