Ebenhack chosen as Distinguished Lecturer

Ben W. Ebenhack

October 2008, Ben W. Ebenhack, a member of the Department of Chemical Engineering, has been named a Distinguished Lecturer by the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Commencing in September 2009, Ebenhack will travel worldwide speaking about "Preserving and Extending the Energy Advantage."

Ebenhack founded the nonprofit AHEAD Energy Corporation. He has spent the last 20 years demonstration the importance of working at the nexus of resource development, human development, and environmental protection. He has educated scores of adults and youth via classes, community presentations, public debates, radio and TV appearances on the impeding global energy transition. He has authored a textbook and various scholarly articles in journals and encyclopedias.

The Society of Petroleum (SPE) is a worldwide, individual-member organization serving professionals in the exploration and production segments of the oil and gas industry.
